OFFERING VIRTUAL PRACTICUM PLACEMENTS FOR MASTER'S STUDENTS.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- In the process of completing a master's level program in counselling or psychology.
- Registered with the CRPO (or with registration in-progress).
- Available for up to 10 hours of direct client contact per week.
- Self-motivated, client-centred, entrepreneurial, and passionate.
- LGBTQ2S+ and BIPOC allied.
- Counselling or related experience preferred, but not required.
ABOUT THE PLACEMENT:
This placement includes:
- A virtual placement serving clients aged 18+ across Ontario.
- Detailed training and onboarding.
- A secure video platform (Jane) and email account.
- Team meetings and peer support in a small and uplifting team environment.
- An eclectic, holistic, and integrative approach.
- Opportunities to gain experience learning the day-to-day operations of a private practice.
- Opportunities to work with a variety of different client issues and concerns.
- Opportunities to utilize a variety of modalities and approaches.
This site is an approved practicum site with Yorkville University.
CLINICAL SUPERVISION:
This site does not offer clinical supervision directly; however, we are partnered with an external supervisor that meets CRPO requirements for a practicum supervisor.
Successful candidates are able to either partner with our external supervisor or are welcome to work with another supervisor of their choosing.
Students are required to secure a supervisor and all supervision hours are at the student's own expense.
